Powerful Homemade Dog Treats (Reinforcers)

Want your doggy to respond gratefully when you give her a food reinforcer?  Then try a variety of treats until you find something she really goes wild for!  That's what we want. A wild and enthusiastic obstacle focused dog who will also pay attention to our cues.


Try some homemade treats!  Below are some ideas.


Recipe for Home Baked Doggy Biscuits
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
nonstick spran
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup purpose flour
1/2 cup corn meal
1/2 cup rolled oats or corn meal
Make a hole in center and slowly
pour in 3/4 cup water, 1/2 cup
camilla oil, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons
of peanut butter, 2 tablespoons
of vanilla extract. Mix and add
extra water as needed until dough
is formed. Put dough on lightly
floured surface. Roll until you get
1/3" thickness. Cut dough into
biscuits. Put onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
Turn off oven and leave biscuits in
oven for 20 more minutes to harden.

Try No Bake Peanut Butter Treats

Use 3 cups rolled oats
Set aside 1/2 cup and set aside
Put 2.5 cups in mixing bowl.
Give your dog a small portion. Hahahaha!
Add canned pumpkin or mashed sweet potatoes.
Add 1/4 cup of peanut butter.
Mix altogether
Chill in refrig. for an hour.
Use ice cream scooper to make ball
Roll ball in your hand to refine the shape.
Roll ball in rolled oaks.
Store in refrig in air tight container for up to a week.
